Yeah, I realize that I’m going to run out of sequel titles to use in these posts and that I’ll be repeating myself soon.  I’ll deal with that problem when I get there.

It’s been a crazy week in the land of SnarkCast, and Krys and Grim have already been overtaken by events given that we recorded this podcast before:

  1. The Dragon*Con Staff Meeting last weekend.
  2. Blizzard was allowed to partially re-launch WoW in China.

Oh well, them’s the breaks.  In any event, enjoy the podcast (show notes are included after the jump).  Thanks for listening, and we’ll be recording a new podcast very soon.

I know, it’s been a while…

Scheduling is pretty much complete and now we turn our attention towards our giveaways, contests, and other events. One such bit of news, for those of you who are interested in attending our WoW Party on Saturday night, is that we will have a cash bar inside the ballroom this year.  You will not have to leave the party to obtain performance enhancing substances for our contest this time around.

Our new friends at Comcast (yes, THAT Comcast) have decided to sponsor our WoW party this year and will be adding some fantastic prizes for us to give away.  I could tell you… but I’d rather keep it a surprise.  You will not be disappointed.

We will also have some goodies to give away during our MMO Trivia contest on Sunday night, courtesy of Sony Online Entertainment, Funcom, Hi-Rez Studios, and a cast of dozens.  More details to follow, but I can say that we will probably have more free stuff to give away this year than we did last year… And last year, we had a LOT.

Ladies and gentlemen, our limited-edition run of official DC*MMO 2009 t-shirts has arrived.

I snark, therefore I am.

This design is unique for this year, which means this is your only chance to get one of these shirts.  Next year might be something cooler, or it might not.  Why chance it?  We have sizes ranging from Small to 4X-Large, but that’s not the best part.  The best part is that this shirt will only set you back 20 bucks.  A single “yuppie food stamp” will get you this “never-to-be-seen-again” t-shirt.  If you’d like to get a shirt, use the contact form to drop me a line and we’ll arrange shipping details and all that stuff. (You pay shipping… I ain’t a gazillionaire)  All proceeds from these shirts will be used to buy swag to give away at Dragon*Con.

You may have noticed, if you picked up a copy of our schedule, that we are not having a WoW Costume Contest this year. (It still is a little embarassing that we had Jorgen and Craig from Funcom and Alan from SOE as judges for what was, in effect, a WoW costume contest last year.)

Costume Contest Judges
(Alan “Brenlo” Crosby, Jorgen Tharaldsen, and Craig Morrison, none of whom are big fans of World of Warcraft)

Fear not, my costumed brethren (and sistren)!

Some enterprising folks have taken it upon themselves to organize a WoW Costume group for the Dragon*Con parade this year!

WoW Costumes
(Wasn’t this contest supposed to be for ALL MMO’s? The Jedi is going to win “Best Non-WoW Costume” by default!)

Thought you guys might want to see a trailer for Global Agenda…

You may have spotted it on our menu bar at the top of the page, but in case you haven’t…

The schedule for this year is pretty much done. “Pretty much?” The “NASA’s almost-MMO” panel may be moving from it’s current time and location (Saturday at 2:30 in the Marriott A601-602) to the Sheraton on Sunday at 4:00. It is not etched in stone yet, but as soon as we get an answer, I’ll update the schedule.

The “Google Calendar” containing all of the Dragon*Con related events from now until the convention can be found here.  It also contains links to the schedule in XML or iCal format if you’d like to download the schedule into your phone or PDA. (always nice to get a reminder during the con)

For additional convenience, we also have a schedule grid that you can print and use if you prefer.

The official schedule for the entire convention will be coming soon.  It is possible that other events may change, but doubtful for our track, one does not juggle such a large number of events lightly.

After a month off to tend to various injuries (Krys hurt her wrist, and Grim busted up his knee), Krys and Grim are back with another SnarkCast.  Everyone and everything is fair game for our snarktastic duo this time around.  If you, or the game you love, find yourselves in our cross-hairs, take solace in the fact that you aren’t alone.  We snark because we love. (Except Gold Farmers, nobody likes those little idiots.)

In this week’s show, we snarkify (otherwise known as “show notes”):
