At last years blood drive, Dragon Con beat the other conventions with over 2100 units of blood donated. We beat PAX, Gen Con, et al. The Horde eeked out a narrow victory over the Alliance in the Horde vs. Alliance competition.

The Dragon*Con Directors had our first planning meeting of 2010, and we are officially in business for planning this year’s convention.  Pre-registration numbers are (stop me if you’ve heard this one before) way up over last year, and all of the convention hotels are sold out of rooms except for our newest convention hotel. We’re one month into planning for next year’s Dragon*Con, and we have 5 panel slots left on our schedule.  That’s assuming that we get 2 track rooms again this year, which is not a given at this time.
