DC*MMO - February Update

There are only a couple of interesting items for February.

1) We are going to have a “Kickoff Event” on Friday evening where folks can play some games, win some prizes, have some fun, but most importantly, get the latest and greatest information on all of the stuff we’ll be doing all weekend.

2) Penny Arcade Expo is scheduled on the same weekend as Dragon*Con again this year. So far, most of the companies that we have talked to are planning on coming to both events, but of course that can change.

3) Keith R.A. DeCandido is confirmed as a guest for Dragon*Con this year. Since he has written a novel set in the World of Warcraft universe (Cycle of Hatred), we are trying to get him to host a panel on Lore in World of Warcraft.

4) We are re-working our t-shirt site and should have some new and interesting designs for you soon.

5) We may have a volunteer staff opening for this year, so if you’re interested, you may want to get in touch with us before the general staff meeting in March.

If you have ideas or suggestions for panels or events that we should run at D*C this year, let us know! We are starting to get in touch with some of the companies that were unable to participate last year, and by next month, we anticipate being able to give you some better ideas of who is coming this year.

See comments in January posting. Will be interested in helping from Atlanta. Will also provide additional thoughts on WoW related panels shortly. Might put together something with my guild…

Which we will be bringing about 20 people from all over the country to attend this year… so don’t disappoint!

Oh, also… might want to make a posting on Massively or WoWInsider sooner rather than later to get people more active in these forums and other D*Con related communities. The more eyes on this, the better prepared the whole track will be.

    Just my opinion, ymmv.

Just wanted to put in a word for getting the Devs of The Agency to come, Chances are it will be out by D*Con, plus, it looks like an amazing game.

  • Funny you should mention that. The Agency is being developed by Sony, and Sony is definitely coming to Dragon*Con this year.

Also, are there still staff openings? Because I’m definitely interested in volunteering.
