 Official image of the Boobquake Facebook Page Those of you who don’t spend pretty much every waking hour buried deep in the mire of social media may not be aware of it, but there is a very special and important scientific experiment going on today. A prominent Iranian cleric (I’ll bet he has a Shadow spec) claims that the reason we’re seeing so many earthquakes recently is because too many woman in modern society dress inappropriately and behave in a promiscuous manner. In response to this “enlightened” statement, self-proclaimed perverted atheist blogger Jen McCreight declared that today, Monday April 26th, would be a day in which women should dress inappropriately to see if they could cause earthquakes. With her huge tracts of land prominently on display, Jen hopes to cause what she has appropriately dubbed a Boobquake. I’m thinking that perhaps the image I used for the geek roundup last week would have been a better match for today. Ah well. Unfortunately nothing I have in the way of geek news from the weekend is nearly as awesome as that, but I figure I’ll do my best to catch you up on the latest anyway. |
